Got a question? We can help!

  • Why see a pediatric dentist?

Pediatric dentists are specialists in the field of dentistry that care for children from infancy through adolescence. They have completed an additional two to three years of specialized training after dental school, which allows them to provide care for young patients in a way that is both comfortable and effective.

  • Can I stay with my child during their visit?

Yes, you can stay with your child during their dental visit. In fact, it's often helpful for parents to be present because they can help to calm and distract their child if needed. You may also be able to spot any early signs of dental problems that your child may have.

If you decide to stay with your child during their dental visit, please be aware that you may not be able to talk to the dentist or assist with the examination. However, you will be able to observe everything that is happening and ask questions afterwards.

  • Why is fluoride important?

Fluoride is important for your child's dental care because it helps to prevent tooth decay and cavities. It does this by making the enamel (the hard outer coating of a tooth) stronger and more resistant to acids that can cause holes in the teeth. Fluoride is especially important for children because their teeth are still growing and developing, and they are more likely to get cavities than adults.
